Lantmännen withdraws FINN CRISP Multigrain 250g and FINN CRISP Sesame 250g from market because quality control has shown that sesame seeds used as a topping in these products may contain ethylene oxide residues.
The use of ethylene oxide as a component in plant protection products is prohibited in the field of food production in accordance with EU standards.
The action applies only to the following products:
- Finn Crisp Multigrain 250g with an expiration date from 24.01.2021 to 16.09.2021 (inclusive).
- Finn Crisp Sesame 250g with an expiration date from 27.01.2021 to 30.06.2021 (inclusive).
The sale of the relevant product has been suspended from all distributors. These products are no longer being sold by Lantmännen or its authorized distributors in Ukraine starting January 2021.
Consumption of this product does not pose a direct health risk, but the product should not be used.
Since November 2020, each specific batch of sesame seeds has been inspected, which makes us sure that all further production does not contain ethylene oxide residues.
